What is ConsultGenie?
ConsultGenie is an online marketplace where enterprises from all industries and of all sizes can find and hire qualified, tested and rated consultants and temporary staff (Providers). If you’re looking for a Provider just search and select on this portal.
What is the advantage of using ConsultGenie for my staffing needs?
Once you use ConsultGenie, you won’t need in-house subject matter experts to evaluate Providers -- we offer certified technical panels to evaluate Providers for you. In addition, you won’t have to incur heavy agency fees. ConsultGenie fees are as low as 6% of your opportunity value.
How does it work?
You can search for Providers in any area/ domain for free. Only ConsultGenie members can get in touch with Providers. To get in touch with Providers, you can choose a membership plan that suits your needs and pocket. As a member you can post unlimited Opportunities and either invite Providers to bid or allow them to apply.
ConsultGenie provides members tools to manage their Opportunities, account and communications easily and efficiently.

How do I know which Provider is best?
All Providers are rated by ConsultGenie and their previous employers based on their competencies and client satisfaction.
HIRING PROVIDERS:
How do I search for Providers ?
It’s easy. Click ‘Find Providers’ and choose a category/ sub category. Refine your search using the advanced search.
How do I post an Opportunity?
You have to be a registered member of ConsultGenie to post an Opportunity. You can click Post Opportunity on your personal home page under My Genie after you login
How do I modify an Opportunity?
Select the opportunity from My Opportunities then pick Edit opportunity. You can edit an opportunity only within 24 hours of posting.
Will ConsultGenie enter into a contract on behalf of Providers?
Yes, if you have a specialized or large requirement. The terms and conditions, and price will be part of a separate agreement.
Are job descriptions viewable outside of ConsultGenie?
Yes. Job descriptions posted on consultgenie.com are visible to external search engines.
Is there a minimum deal amount?
Yes, the minimum deal amount is INR 5,000. If your deal amount is below the minimum, you will be charged on the minimum amount.
Can I hire more than one Provider for a single Opportunity?
Yes. You can specify the number of open positions while posting the Opportunity. Each selection will be treated as a separate deal.
How do I invite Providers to a meeting or to make a bid?
Select the Opportunity from My Opportunities, Click Contact Me or Request Bid in your candidates list. Alternatively if you found a profile during Search you can click Contact Provider, or Contact me under detailed profile
How do I reject or hire a Provider?
You can hire or reject a Provider at any stage from the candidate list under My Opportunities. An email is sent to the candidate with your decision. In case you decided to hire, the Provider will be required to accept your offer for the deal to be complete.
How do I close or cancel an Opportunity?
Select My Opportunities, click on checkbox, and select close.
What is Q&A?
Q&A, found in your opportunity under My Opportunities, can be used to answer questions from Providers. Postings are viewable by all candidates.
FEEDBACK & ABUSE :
What is feedback score?
Feedback score is computed as a weighted average of buyer ratings of a provider on five attributes, which are skills, quality, communication, cooperation and timeliness. The total feedback score is the average of scores from all buyers.
How do I provide feedback on a Provider?
If the Provider requested feedback you’ll get an email with a link to the feedback form. You can also provide feedback voluntarily from the candidate list under My Opportunities.
Why should I provide feedback?
Your feedback contributes to the overall rating of a Provider and can help other buyers evaluate the person. You should be fair and objective with your feedback.
What is abuse of system and what do I do if I notice one?
Abuse of the system is inappropriate or abusive language in any form of communication with other members, not following policies in the user agreement and soliciting opportunities and services outside the system. Please report abuse of the system if you are a victim or see it happening. You can report abuse on the Contact Us page by selecting the appropriate subject.
ACCOUNT SET UP AND FEES:
How do I sign up?
Click the ‘Join as a Buyer’ button on the home page or the ‘Register’ link on the top right of any web page. Select the Buyer item in the drop down list.
What are the Buyer fees?
You can become a Premium buyer for FREE and post one opportunity per month free. You can post additional opportunities for INR 500 per posting. For INR 3,000 per month or INR 8,000 per quarter you can become a Platinum buyer and post unlimited opportunities. There are no other fees or commissions.
How do I switch to a different membership plan?
You can upgrade to a higher plan anytime. If you are switching to a lower plan the change will take effect beginning of the next billing cycle and there will be no refund of fee for the remainder of the current billing cycle.

PAYMENTS:
What are the available modes of payment?
You can pay by check, internet banking or credit card.
What are the currencies supported?
Currently all amounts are displayed in Indian Rupees (INR) though payments can be made in other currencies.
How to pay a Provider?
All payments are made via our secure Escrow system. The provider makes an escrow request before commencing work. You will be required to deposit the amount in our escrow account. Upon task completion the provider requests for fund release. If you approve the release Consultgenie pays the provider after deducting 8%.
What about Taxes?
Every paid transaction is subject to a service tax of 10.30%. Unless mentioned explicitly service tax is part of the fees listed during payment. If a particular payment you make to ConsultGenie is subject to TDS (tax deducted at source as per Indian income tax rules) you should deduct it from the total before making the payment. You will be required to issue us an income tax certificate at the end of the year.
I am not happy with the provider’s work. What should I do?
Our secure Escrow system protects you from such incidents. If you are not happy with your provider’s work you can raise a dispute by clicking the Dispute button in the invoice. Consultgenie will withhold the funds until the provider and you arrive at a mutually acceptable settlement.
Are there any payment processing charges?
If you pay online via credit card or net banking then a service charge of 5% may be applied where explicitly mentioned. We pay this fee to the service provider.
